The Association of Danish Mortgage Banks is trade association for Danish mortgage banks.
We work to promote the points of view of the Danish mortgage banking sector and to influence issues of relevance to the sector. We therefore maintain a close and ongoing dialogue with authorities, politicians, professional associations and media in Denmark and abroad.
Our members grant loans against security in the form of mortgages on real property. The mortgage loans are based on the issuance of mortgage bonds (ROs), covered mortgage bonds (SDROs) and covered bonds (SDOs). As of 1 January 2010, the members of the Association are:
The members of the Association represent 57 pct of the total remaining bond debt volume in DKK (end 2009).
The Association of Danish Mortgage Banks has a representative office in Brussels in order to participate in the ongoing discussions in the EU about cross-border mortgage finance. The Association of Danish Mortgage Banks is an active member of a number of international organizations and associations such as the European Mortgage Federation (EMF) and the European Covered Bond Council (ECBC).
